Want to be SRT-ready for spring 2025?
We’re pleased to announce several new workshop dates for Winter!These workshops supplement the dates that we already had advertised and provide additional opportunities for cavers to brush up their general SRT skills, as well as rigging and rescue, from beginner to more advanced.
- 14th December – SRT refresher (one day indoors)
- 18-19th January – New to SRT/basics refresher (one day indoors, one day underground)
- 1st February – SRT refresher (one day indoors)
- 2nd February – SRT underground refresher (one day underground)
- 15th February – SRT rescue foundation/basics (one day indoors)
- 16th February – SRT refresher (one day indoors)
- 1st March – SRT underground intermediate (one day underground)
- 2nd March – SRT rescue intensive (one day underground with 2:1 tuition)
- 8-9th March – New to SRT/basics refresher (one day indoors, one day underground)
- 22nd March – SRT refresher (one day indoors)
- 22nd March - SRT rigging intensive (one day underground with 2:1 tuition)
- 23rd March – SRT rescue intermediate (one day indoors)
- 19th January - SRT rescue and SRT problem solving (one day indoors)
- 22nd February - New to SRT rigging (one day indoors)

Sunday 1st December – New to CavingThese events provide an opportunity to try caving as part of a friendly team. If you think caving might be the right hobby for you (or anyone who you know), this is a great chance to try it out with lots of friendly support and education on safety and conservation.

These workshops are currently being run in partnership with our commercial instructors. However, we would love to partner with local clubs to run these too (thank you to the Red Rose, CPC and YSS who have run these in the past). We can organise signup, payment and advertise the event, before handing over to you closer to the time to take people on a trip and perhaps inspire them to get involved with your club or group. Plus, this is a good chance to raise some club funds too. If you would like to partner with us to run a new-to-caving event, please get in touch with training@cncc.org.uk to discuss.
