New BCA membership system is up and running! (or down and caving?)

Any "small" mass mailing is likely to be identified as spam
I'm not aware of any reason why that would be the case, but if you have any information from email headers or server logs I'd be grateful to see it.

In the emails I've seen, the specific reason they went to spam was failing the DMARC check because the domain in the nominal 'from' address (membership@british-caving.org.uk) didn't match the Return Path domain or the DKIM-Signature domain which was sendgrid.net

I run my own mailserver/spam filtering. Looking at the headers, I see this:
Code:
Authentication-Results: wylie.me.uk (amavisd-new); dkim=fail (1024-bit key) reason="fail (body has been altered)" header.d=sendgrid.net

Thanks, alanw.

That looks like the tracking link that sendgrid inserted (by modifying the original text) in the link to the membership web page, causing the mismatch that prompted Keris82 and others to decline to click on it (and which we've already raised with JustGo).

Your header will be useful if we need any more evidence, thanks.

Worked for me just fine.

The geographical location of CATMHS seemed a bit awry though - I felt it ought to be in the Lake District somewhere.

We did ask all the clubs to supply a location they wanted on the map - most of these seem to have been uploaded correctly but a few seem to have gone wrong somewhere in the data transfer!
All clubs have had a document explaining club use of the new system, including how to change their map location - so hopefully these errors will start disappearing......

Got logged in fine, everything seems to work apart from my 2024 BCA membership isn't showing.
When the service provider uploaded all the membership data they didn't upload those whose email addresses were already in the system via the qulaifications side (to avoid creating duplicate accounts)
We spent a lot of time working out which existing training users needing membership adding, and then manually adding it - however I missed you!
Just human error, I'm afraid - but I have added your membership now.

However this is a good opportunity for me to assure everyone that for the remainder of 2024 BCA will be using the new system AND the old system to form a members list. If, some reason, your membership hasn't been copied across to the new system it doesn't mean we won't count you as a 2024 member. (But by all means let me know, and I can add you so you can have a look at the new system!)
