Here's a bit more for you! I joined the BPC around 1965-66 at the age of 16, my first trip was Mongo Gill Holes. In 1970 I travelled to South Africa and Rhodesia where I worked for a couple of years and when I returned to UK I joined the CPC. I used to hang around with Pete Grey, Tony Blick. Bob Cross, John Allonby and few others. In 1976 I moved to NZ for adventure and found plenty. Last year John Allonby stopped with me for a while when he was over here on Holliday. I am hoping to get back next year and spend some time in the Dales and the pubs so I will keep in touch.
