* National Caving Conference - Hidden Earth - 15-17 September
Finding a venue for this year has been difficult, so apologies for the late announcement, but we are now pleased to announce that Hidden Earth will be near Bristol this year on 15-17 September. Please see the web site http://hidden.earth or the event's Facebook page, http://facebook.com/hiddenearth

* Next Online Seminar via Zoom – Monday 11 September
See https://bcra.org.uk/seminar for details of our next online seminar.

* New BCRA Secretary - David Shearsmith
David Shearsmith has now replaced me as BCRA Secretary and so responsibility for these newsletters is being passed to him, but here are just a few loose ends that Im clearing up ...

* Cave & Karst Science, CREG Journal
Vol 50(2) of Cave and Karst Science is in progress but is delayed slightly. It might be ready by the end of August. CREG journal 123 is due out in September and might also be slightly late.

* BCRA Review for 2022
Our Review magazine for 2022 is being worked on and should be published in October. If anyone has any material for consideration, i.e. photos, articles relating to BCRA activities, please contact Phil Wolstenholme. See http://bcra.org.uk/contact.html

* 34th BCRA Cave Science Symposium - 21 October
This year's Science Symposium will be at the University of Leeds, on Saturday 21 October, organised by Simon Bottrell. On Sunday 22nd October there will be a field excursion, led by Phil Murphy, to include Gillfield Level at Greenhow and caves of Nidderdale. There is no charge for these events but donations are requested to support the running costs, particularly from participants in the Gillfield level visit who will be asked to make a small contribution towards the costs of maintaining access to this important part of our underground heritage.
CALL FOR PAPERS: Anyone wishing to present a paper or poster at the symposium or who has any other queries should contact the programme organiser, Simon Bottrell. See http://bcra.org.uk/contact.html

* 51st Annual General Meeting
The 2023 Annual General Meeting of the BCRA (the 51st AGM) will be held on Saturday 21 October 2023 at 12:00-12:50 BST, during a break in our Science Symposium. Details will be posted to http://bcra.org.uk/agm a few weeks before the event.
