It is not known how long the gang had been digging - or what they did with all the soil.

Sounds like they were me - lovely job. And they'd obviously worked in SSSIs before...

Sorry for reopening this thread, but I am going to Ingleton for a week soon and would like to know the situation on the cash machines, have any been replaced? or do I need to bring a bucket load of cash. :-\

The one at the garage on the main road is still missing (the whole site is being redeveloped) but last time I looked the one in the Co-op in the village was still there. Other than that, there are machines in Kirkby Lonsdale, Settle and Bentham.

According to my mate there was no cash machine in the Coop last weekend, though I did not look for myself. Edit: There is also not a cash machine in the Co-op either!
