After long day yesterday, last thing I wanted to do was leave a warm fire and head off out again - however, I really wanted to see the Northern Lights!
Out I went, drove up towards Kingsdale, stopping at the millennium monument thing. It was blummin cold, I could hear owls hooting and Thornton Force. There were a few cars coming and going, also on the look out but most stayed for just a few minutes. I drove to Braida but a bit mizzly there. Back to the monument, there is a lot of light pollution looking over the valley.
I stuck it out, getting excited when the clouds parted and I could see the stars and a bright moon - but no light show ☹️
..... And then the clouds started to glow red... Not exactly what I'd hoped for, but at least something 😁
No laughing!
