Parking for Devonshire in MB.

I'm parked up in the Temple Walk car park, Matlock Bath, waiting for a scout group to arrive for a trip down Devonshire. Parking after 6 pm was £1, no issues with that. Just gone to pay, £5 until 10 pm. Combine that with the height barriers stopping minibus access and I'm wondering if there is an alternative. Welcome to Matlock Bath!

Has the agreement with the church collapsed? see Devonshire Cavern
"Holy Trinity Church don't mind small numbers using their car park, but have requested that cavers do not use the car park before midday on Sundays"

AFAIK, no-one has told DCA Access that this agreement isn't in place any longer. Though they're probably underground by now

Update. We used the parking app on the sign and it charged us the £1. Maybe the new rates haven’t been implemented yet. There were three cars so I don’t usually use the church parking with that many, but thanks for the reminder.

Is there a nightlife in Matlock bath? What’s it like? seems to be PW’s faves in the daytime, BIKERS!

Surely it’s getting revved up at 11pm?

There are illuminations at weekends and fireworks on some nights. Well worth a visit if you haven't been before. Last two nights this weekend.

Is there a nightlife in Matlock bath? What’s it like? seems to be PW’s faves in the daytime, BIKERS!

Surely it’s getting revved up at 11pm?

I can't remember if there is a nightlife in MB - perhaps our resident DJ can advise? But one of my earliest memories as a kid is going down the river on a rowing boat with the family whilst the illuminations were up - it was great. Repeated it twenty five years later with internal illuminations too, which was much, much more memorable
