For info, you need to apply in writing, enclosing a SAE in order that the (paper) permit can be posted back to you.

I should have pointed that some, if not all, CNCC permits are only issued to clubs that are members of BCA. It is for that reason that it helps for your club secretary to request the permit then the CNCC meets secretaries can check that the requesting club is indeed a member of BCA.

How do foreign clubs/individuals get permits then?

It may be the 21st Century where you live, but on Mendip many people are still living in the 18th Century (or earlier, in some cases).
