Trying to find some info on a passage that's not on the over complex survey.
It's the one that drops down as you step off the ledge before the stoop under on the way in to crystal chamber. The space has got bigger, and looks like its had traffic, and last time I was in appeared to have a handling to assist with getting back out.
Does it go anywhere? Is it actually possible to get through?

I think you may be referring to a passage opened up in the 80's that I called the Lobster Pot as it was easier to descend than emerge from! That's if you mean the passage in the floor. There is another dig in the wall there that has been extended recently after a long period of inactivity. If you do go down the Lobster Pot please respect the formations as it doesn't get much traffic. Finally yes, some rock at the entrance was removed a while back making it a bit easier to get in.

Cheers for that I shall have a look some time. Looks nice down there.
Is the dig the passage up to the right (on the way in) just above the hole in the floor? Every time I've gone to go that way I've found roosting bats so backed out!

Thats the one. When I first entered that dig it went some way then bifurcated with branches narrowing. However it has been re examined recently and digging recommenced.

Neither actually "go" anywhere, but both are worth a visit - as is the tube in the floor in the entrance series where the rift enters on the left and joins the phreatic passage before crystal chamber.
