Hmm, after a failed plan to go into sidetrack Yesterday as the guy from SUSS I was going to go on a trip with had lost his keys, I decided to use the rope that I had packed and have a good look at the terrace at sidetrack level (one terrace down from the track), before then joining the others down Eldon Hole to wonder at the marvels of the Eldon Lost river project.
Essentially I was following up the potential Hauling Shaft located on the sidetrack side in the vein. I am almost sure now that it is a no go project, as there is about 1m of rubble sitting above where it might be, a hell of a project. and that seems to be the case on almost every level of the terraces, but do need to have a look at the terrace below.
So after looking at that I continued around the terrace to have a look around if there is anything else.
Right at the end in the quarry wall above the water is an interesting hole. and on the first terrace up from the water is another interesting hole which will need a poke. No photos I'm afraid.
