RAW in a rugged compact...

Blimey - my Fuji X30 gets slated for having a small sensor and this is even smaller!
However, it's not 'that' much smaller and I've taken some cracking images underground with the X30.
The X30's RAW allows an astonishing amount of detail to be pulled from the shadows (better than my Canon 5D3), it is a real asset for cave photography.
One advantage the Olympus has over my X30 is a 25mm lens (28 on the Fuji), that may not sound a lot but is a significant advantage for photographing caves.
If the Olympus RAW pulls shadows like the Fuji, then this will be a fantastic little camera!

The massed hordes chanting for RAW capabilities to be added to their rugged cameras:
I've always used the CHDK firmware updates on my Canon compacts which allow shots to be taken in Canon's RAW format and provides full manual controls.

It seems that the update is available for the D30

Help please.

I need to replace my last Olympus Tough so am looking at the latest version TG-4

Are the knobs, buttons & dial still resisting the mud?

They don't seem to sell the memory card with the camera any more and I don't know what to buy.

Memory size 16GB or 32GB or something else?

AND now there is also transfer time to consider.  40 MB/s up to 280 MB/s

What are people using please?
