In other news, I'm selling a dead horse, any takers?

Do you know how difficult it is to get rid of a dead horse?

You either have to pay a fortune to have them professionally incinerated of pay the local hunt ?10-?20 to take them away.

Not sure what the hunt does with them but I think it includes dogs.

In the 19th century, there were lots of horses in cities, as no-one had thought to invent the internal combustion engine. When one died at work, as at least one did most days in any decent sized city,  they used to leave it to putrefy for several days in the street as it was much easier to dismember them and remove them after that. there was also something of a "manure issue".

And people think that environmental worries are a modern phenomenon.
