Hi all,
I've been a member on AditNow for a while but I've been inactive for various reasons, including work obligations, life events, and the mentals. The reason why I'm making a reintroduction is that I wanted to ask the community for some advice and pointers for getting back underground.
So since I last went underground I caught the dreaded covid plague, and it's rather kindly left me with the (seemingly) permanent effects. So 2.5 years later my fitness is ruined, and I suffer from various problems including two different types of chronic pain and debilitating fatigue, amongst other fun things. I don't want to get into any debates around covid, in anyway, shape, or form; but what I am asking for is advice on places that suitable for my new found abilities. I would like pointers on places aren't going to kill me off having to ascend 700ft to them before I've gone underground, and maybe don't have 900 internal inclines like Maenofferen and Cwmorthin. I can walk for up to 5 miles at a push (but fatigue kills me for days), I can climb where needed. I know this is likely to be a short list, but I'm desperate to make something of my time again now that work is likely to become part time because of my health.
I'm also going to be posting this on UCET, so apologies for members who frequent both. Cheers!
