rifty passage off Chasm in OFD top?

Hi.
I recently did a trip in OFD top (I always get the numbers mixed up). We went in the usual way to the top of Chasm, and then follower it to finally reach poached egg, bhowani junction, and the crevasse.
We went back pretty much the same way, but when we reached The shakehole in the Chasm (with 2 hand lines on either side), we decided to go down, and follow the passage to try and reach the swamp creek and the streamway.
Once inside the shakehole we were greeted by a series of sketchy, incredibly slippery climbs, only to pop out at the top of a very deep, smooth sided rift (~200ft), very much like the maypole.
found our way down and follower it at water lever for some time (i think we went past the s-bend) but we were stopped by a sump, with the higher parts of the rift being blocked by boulders. We back-tracked and tried to find a way above and through the boulders (following what looked like a well trodden route), but after having failed to find a way through for half an hour or so, we decided to back out the same way.

And here I've got a few questions, that I hope somebody here will be able to answer:
1)is the way through the rift (done chasm->streamway) allong the bottom & through the boulders, or should we have just kept to the top?
2) is there a free-climbable/easy connection at the end of the swamp creek into the streamway?
3)has anybody tried approaching the passage from the trident&judge and what does it look like / is it easy to find/follow?

Try harder. It's there! The answer to all three questions is you must have been very close to finding out for yourself, as long as by "at the end of the swamp creek into the streamway" you are not talking about the main streamway, in which case the 30-odd metre pitch is definitely not free-climbable!

I too have done this trip, both ways, all be it a few years ago and can confirm it does go. IIRC we had change levels in the rift a couple of times and I'm sure there was a wriggle between boulders some where in it as well.
