Rowter Hole

Can anyone tell me- is it still the case that evidence of insurance is required for access to Rowter? Although we do have insurance BCA have failed to come up with goods in terms of cards or any form of certificate so I thought it was best to find out beforehand rather than going and taking a chance..

My club has hade their BCA cards recently - chase it up with the BCA. I think they even have their own Forum!

Have done loads of caving in JH (same land) and done rowter a few times and never been asked

dont think its a major issue as long as you look like you know what ur doing

We're buggered then    maybe it might be worth giving it a try, I guess as long as were prepared we could go elsewhere if they do ask for proof!

I cant see them asking for proof myself (they've always looked very non-plused every time we've been).

I think the whole proof of insurance came just after the Titan rescue debacle and has probably been forgotton about now.

That is why I said "Apparently you still need proof of insurance." - you are probably ight, Sam.

It would be a bit of a bummer to have travelled a long way and fail at the final hurdle, though.

Yep.. Went there yesterday and wasn't asked.
