Sand Cavern - help?

Darwen Dave's picture does not look much like Sand Cavern, GG, to me, unless it's at the very start as you come from Main Chamber.

That's exactly where it is.
Sand Cavern proper is behind me as I took the photo.

Please don't go up there!, I'm sure I can find you a Sand Cavern (or at least a Mud Hall) in the Peak District, if you go up there, we'll probably never see you again !!

Apologies, darwen dave; I took a rather casual glance at your photo, and thought that that orange thing on the right ? a tackle bag, I guess ? was someone in an orange caving suit, hence the scale looked totally wrong!

So, where the light's shining from must be SW Passage?

It is not a tackle bag. If you look carefully you will see the light is reflecting off the face of Judge Dredd, he has stopped keeping the law and started caving. I wonder which club he has joined?

The photo is at the far north end of Sand Cavern where it degenerates into a blind bedding.

The man behind the light is Andyj23UK of this parish.

IIRC the orange thing was some sort of digging bucket.
