Server crash and restore

I've restored the database to our most recent copy which will include posts up to the start of the 27th August.

Sorry if you've lost anything important, the hosting company suffered a hardware failure causing a total loss of data.

Thanks for getting that stuff back so quickly.

Is there a more recent version of the wiki database available? There's quite a few recent updates missing from there at the moment.

Unfortunately I don't have any more recent wiki backups Rhys

I'll start taking them weekly from now on.

Pity about the backups though since we've lost one of the best threads on UKcaving for ages (the GUG installer one) .

Never mind. Sod's law really, I hadn't done anything on the wiki for ages then recently had a bit of a spurt...

It looks like Google have cached the page that I was most annoyed about, so I can use that to rebuild the text and I can re-upload the images

Dont worry Sam, I think GUGI is off on a week of intensive gate installing down south, so expect an update soon.
