Was pleasing to see spectacle pot had been p-hangered on saturday  (y)

Although final pitch to sump still needs doing. Until then, a hanger is required for this.

Blimey, that's one of those places you wouldn't expect to see such things

Well done to whoever undertook the task, it'll make my life easier when/if I get round to paying a visit.

Yup, was done in October if I recall correctly. As far as I'm aware, there are no current plans to p-hanger the final pitch after the great rubble heap.

EDIT: Wrong, it was November

Since the last pitch in Vespers had been done then it seemed a logical choice, especially with the state of the old anchors. The aim was to complete the route for the exchange, hence the lack of anchors on the last pitch.

I think I'm right in saying that the rope lengths in NFTFH are still suitable, but I don't have it to hand.

Speleodroid: out of interest, did you think the big pitch could have done with an extra deviation a bit higher up?

Indeed. Was good to see them, although since the rest of spectacle and vesper has been done, would still be nice to see a couple at the top of the final pitch for completeness. It'd be an easy job as well i expect...

Big pitch seemed fine with just the one deviation........solid flake (one of the few) couple of metres below ledge, as also suggested in NFTFH.

Used the rope lengths out of NFTFH, which yes, are still valid  :)

I said that it was a mistake after we opened up that final pitch. The previous bottom of Spectacle was just fine as it was.
