This is an odd question, perhaps, and not really connected with caving.
Most times I go to Mendip, I go past the little chapel St. Hughs, at Charterhouse.
I live not so far away from a monastery near Horsham called "St Hughs Charterhouse".
Does any clever person know what the connection is between St Hughs, and Charterhouse? What is a Charterhouse? [St Hughs is the patron saint of lead miners, I believe]. It's just something I wonder about every time I go past either place.
