It was on my helmet which was strapped on the outside of my rucksuck - next thing I know the lamp has fallen off and the battery was all that was left.

Yes 3 Peaks and 3 Pots.

That'll be coz of that rubbish connector! ?190 for a headlamp you'd think they could at least spend more than 5p on the connectors.  o_O

Dont be dissin no StenLight Bro!  :icon_321:

I'd rather the connectors departed then the cable snap. Mind you was this the type of stenlight with the flat blade as opposed to the ones with the kink in the middle to hold the sten in the helmet bracket?

Atleast now Chris J you can go get one of the NEW StenLights, its as good an excuse as any to upgrade!

Yeah and why put it half way between the lamp and battery? It means my connector is exposed on the side of my helmet - a fragile place. And no, i'm not gonna put a piece of hard non compressable plastic inside my helmet ....

All other lights have a longer connector on the lamp and a shorter one on the battery so that the join takes place at the rear of the helmet where it is more protected.

BTW it is nice to know this has had a happy ending and I now have my old Sten back!!

Now as I bought a new lamp head bit to replace the one i'd lost - i have two of these.

So does anyone want to buy it off me?

cheers,
Chris
