It was on my helmet which was strapped on the outside of my rucksuck - next thing I know the lamp has fallen off and the battery was all that was left.
I'd rather the connectors departed then the cable snap. Mind you was this the type of stenlight with the flat blade as opposed to the ones with the kink in the middle to hold the sten in the helmet bracket?
Atleast now Chris J you can go get one of the NEW StenLights, its as good an excuse as any to upgrade!
Yeah and why put it half way between the lamp and battery? It means my connector is exposed on the side of my helmet - a fragile place. And no, i'm not gonna put a piece of hard non compressable plastic inside my helmet ....
All other lights have a longer connector on the lamp and a shorter one on the battery so that the join takes place at the rear of the helmet where it is more protected.
