student BCRA membership

just a quick post to let people know that David Gibson has got the online discounts working on the BCRA online membership form 
available hear: http://caves.org.uk/payments/bca/forms/M1.html you must join BCA as a DIM member which with a 50% discount is ?16 then BCRA membership is free for students.
i think ill put my veiws on having to be a DIM member of BCA to join BCRA somewhere else...

When BCA was in the process of being set up, the original membership model was for just one classification of BCA membership (with the additional option to join BCRA). However, a significant number of clubs (and some Regional Councils) insisted that there should be a minimum cost option for membership, and that became the CIM classification, on the understanding that the clubs did most of the administrive work. Because of the requirement for a low cost option, BCRA membership was not included. As I have mentioned in my reply to your other post, that requirement has now been addressed by the CIM Plus option, although there has been a very low take up - so I'm not convinced many people want it.
