Swildon's New Grottoes - new damage?

Had a wander around Swildon's today and squeezed up into the New Grottoes. Haven't been up there in a year or two, so I'm unsure if this is 'new news'. However, it looked as though the damage to the small straws at the top of the Grottoes was relatively new. In fact, there was a fist-sized rock right next to the damage that appeared to have been used as the hammer.

Whoever the moronic muppets who did this must have had some knowledge of the cave - you hardly stumble across the New Grottoes do you?

I was in the New Grottoes on Sunday for the first time ever. Didn't notice anything special, but nothing to compare it with.

hi there me and my friend made a trip to the new grottos in swildons on bank holiday monday. i did not notice anything then, how new is the damage ,and like you say you would only go there if you knew where it was.
