Not covered - Act of God (I used to work for PCSC (now known as 'The Tech Guys' :yucky and I'd have told the customer (politely, within the company guidelines) where to shove it. (BTW, I HATED them at the end - partly why I left)
Walrus : remember the first rule of tech support - ask if it's running Windows - there's only ever one cure for any problem with a computer running Windows and that's to turn it off and then back on again - it cures everything. :-\
And yes, the company I work for does have an IT support team with that mentality - us engineers just sort problems out by ourselves

Once management asked me to be certain an arsey customer had a fault with his machine, so I got him to let it overheat until it caught fire. :blink: It proved it was faulty... and they agreed with me at my disciplinary hearing! :halo:
