Hi folks,

We're looking to host a host a caving event for roughly 300 people in Derbyshire (near the caves preferably) in a field.

If anyone knows any likely field renterers and/or friendly parish councillors, or really any tips, could you drop me a pm?

Thanks kindly
Will

Could be worth asking some of our existing farmer friends like Perryfoot, Oxlow, Rowter, Peakshill, Greenhills etc.

Farm nr the 3 stags at wardlow does camping in a field. Not sure if that would extend to events. Next to a great pub, café and foolow for a bit of underground mud wallowing.

Also what about the campsite in the field to the Orpheus?

That'll be the Peak View campsite - from their website:

Please note

This site has no on-site toilet and shower facilities.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

Tents are not accepted at this park.

Ah! It’s five acres farm! https://www.pitchup.com/campsites/E...s9hPMaqtYpP6OcZuxa0LwYiHHldqOiMI2jc0ow_20TXaM

I notice they say "Group bookings of 4 or more adults are not permitted" which would exclude this.

I think maybe approaching Rowter would be worthwhile, or ask Nick Williams if there's anywhere round Great Hucklow where the farmer would be amenable? The Bull I'Th Thorn occurred to me as a possibility but I think 300 is way over their capacity.
