here is a nice Waterways piccie to entice you - look no rats, crawling, mud or hanging death... ;) I'm even standing upright....

one of the best trips i have ever done is the through trip in lathkill dale
down lathkiller and out through the tigers
one for very low water and take your kneepads
upstream is great but very tight at the electric crab wher we lost our way
lower cales dale is also very good but short in all but extreme drought
dont forget the sump watch next year

After doing Streaks Pot last night - that photo of Waterways Swallet is looking very apealing! Look the caver is actually standing up!
A fun trip (we only went from the lower entrance to the bottom of the upper entrance rift 'cos the pub was calling...) but not sure i'd put it on my list of Peak District top trips...Oxlow - Maskhill, Nettle, Giants and P8 are all alot more apealing lol!
Muddy, alot of flat out crawling, wet and a few squeezes...good sport in a muddy horrrible sort of way...are all the Stoney Middleton Caves like that ;)

yes - I'm amazed it isn't more popular by now - you can bottom it with no gear on a 2.5 hour trip (if you don't faff) with big chamber and walking passages at the very bottom.

Err, mostly... ;)  Some have the added bonus of unstable roofs and streamways full of rat pi55...

I used to cave a lot in Stoney, haven't done so for ages now.

Eyam Dale house cave is nice though, and upstream Streaks is a bit better.
