TopoDroid / Dive mode

TopoDroid x has a dive mode when using the " Tester Level" when your in it, "T" symbol is shown, but what it does not tell you is how to enter the mode and exit it! 🙄
Any advice welcome!

My way around: I can not find the dive mode, so when I get to a sump I will move on to paper, and just add the center line manually, on to topodroid, putting the inclination as zero, the data for the sump can then be taken from the paper notes and added to Survex avoiding topodroid for the sumps, the centre line will tie in the surveys.

There is a way to calculate inclination using the depths at successive survey stations. My surveyor buddy has coded it to be useable in a Therion environment. I'm not a diver but he once was. It's in an early stage but we are confident it will be useable. I guess you are aware of this but the code manipulation makes this easy as you just enter the data etc.

Hi Jim from 1min30 shows you how to change to tester mode:

Let me see if I can find out more about this dive specific mode.

Hi Jim, when in tester mode (as above) see page 89/90 of the topodroid user manual. Diving data mode is accessible from the new survey screen.

There should be no need to calculate the inclination for input to Therion. There are various formats that Therion can accept one of them diving. It allows input of various depths.
One main advantages of survex format (that Therion essentially uses) is that it can take data in exactly the same way as it was recorded, not only making life easier but with the added advantage of being less error prone.

Thank you to every one!

1: home page then click on the three squares at top right of page

2: click settings

3: click "tester mode" then click custom settings

4: click survey Data

5: tick " Dive mode top of page

Dive mode then comes up as a option on your survey home page! You can select it when your survey reaches the sump ! Dive the sump using the tagged dive line for distance, dive compass, depth gauge for inclination, manually add data to topodroid set in dive mode, unclick dive mode and continue surveying above water cave 🙂👍

The distance and depth seem to be mixed up? If you put the distance in the depth box and vise versa it almost works mmmmm
I have tried putting in a profile of o -5 -10 -15 -10 -5 0 the stations and shots disappeared
Using bearing 180
Distance 10 meters between stations
