....and we're here - the stand is built, mugs lined up ready for new owners and the rope prizes are on display.

The HE Team look to have everything under control as all went smoothly. Les said how impressed he was with the positive, can do attitude of the staff at Llangollen Pavillion. Looks like an excellent venue with heaps of room in the trade hall 😁

We are next to the CNCC stand - they have chocolates, but a few less than before, sorry Matt 😋

We're also right by the SRT competition area - don't forget to bring your SRT kits folks!

Tim gave a fab talk on Mulu, despite a really croaky throat 😍

The lovely folks at reception tell me there are over 500 cavers here. There's a happy vibe about the place - particularly good to see lots of younger cavers here, the future looks bright! 😁

A fab entry in the young photographer competition - well done.

Can't be at the conference this weekend so I'm enjoying your updates here Pegasus and Badlad.

Did anyone video Frank's presentation about the Dales? He always gives an excellent talk and I'd have loved to have been able to see it.

In the depths below where shadows play,
The cavers gather by light of day.
A world of stone, both dark and grand,
But there’s a guest who’s more than planned.
A Pegasus, with wings of gleam,
Soars softly through the miner’s dream.
Her hooves on earth, her heart in sky,
A friend to all who question why.
"Why caves?" they ask, "When sky is bright?"
She smiles, her mane in flickering light.
"For both the earth and sky are one,
A harmony beneath the sun."
She guides them deep, to caverns vast,
With wings that shimmer as shadows pass.
Her eyes, like stars, a guiding flame,
No cave too deep, no heart the same.
Through stalactites tall and tunnels wide,
She leads them with a humble pride.
For in the dark, beneath the stone,
Pegasus feels most at home.
At the conference, her wisdom shared,
Of worlds above and those compared.
She bows to all, both caver and dreamer,
The sky’s free spirit, yet earth’s believer.
So when you’re lost in caverns tight,
Remember Pegasus, a friendly light.
The Pegasus with wings so grand,
Who walks with you through rock and sand.
