Whimps complain about puttting on damp kit, but it isn't advisable in the safety aspect.

What do you mean by this? If you are going straight back into a wet cave, it will get wet immediately. Why is unsafe, apart from a risk of a chill walking to the cave.

I lost track of what I was trying to say  I guess i wrote it after to many pints of Butcombe at the Hunters :D

I have a neofleece, and am skin and bones. It has served me very well, and I don't have too much problem with getting over hot - last Monday it was enough to keep me warm pushing ducks in Peak, but I didn't boil prussiking out of Titan (even with a TSA over the top)

It is also a lot more flexible than a wetsuit, as it is fleece over the knees and elbows.

and whats all this softness - I always used to cave in wet furrys as my housemates objected to me drying kit in the bathroom. Don't do it so often now, but pulling on dripping clothes in the snow before digging on Bradwell Moor in winter - thats character building
