I take very slight exception to Anne's view,
I think Cow Hole  is the best.
Certainly got a lot of potential, it is very high up for Mendipshire and has an excellant pitch and excellant aven, it is not for beginners though, only for hard barstads :halo:
And we now suspect that it is just one of the many feeders for Upper Flood Swallet.
Unless tree monkey knows of a secret long Mendip cave, I think U.F.S.
is now the 5th longest Mendip natural cave. :icon_321:

I reckon the best cave yet is ANY of them, especially all the ones in Mendipshire I've not been into yet

Its all to do with the "what's around the corner?" syndrome.

last month I got further round the short loop in Swildons than ever before,
explored Gb (for the first time)....
BOTH trips were fangbloodytastic.

You're lucky Ditzy, you only live a stone's throw form caveing country,
some of us have to travel bloody hours to get there.

Its also got a lot to do with the company you go with,
I've had miserable cold trips in one cave, then been in the same cave and been cold BUT not miserable. different company each time.

find a regular "caving buddy" (I think you may have one anyway), that allways makes a difference (y)
