Please don't take me seriously. I am only joking with you.
Although on the serious side you are obviously relatively new to caving and it is worth trying to broaden your knowledge  as you progress  . I am sure loads of your fellow mendippers travel to other parts and would be happy to take you along. While most cavers defdend their home ground all of them would admit they like caving in other regions. (Well with the possible exeption of one Mendipper I can think of) ;)

well get yourself up here to the dales we got miles more caves than anyone else.

I know you have,
I used to go up the the dales when i was a lot younger (+fitter), and lived in Runcorn, didnt have too far to travel then, but because of financial restraints and living down in wilts our area of caving is now the Mendips. which IMO offers some good fun. Maybe one day i will be able to get my tribe up to the Dales again ( Ingleton way) as I still have family up that way. But for now Mendip rocks

 Definetly not a true southener , been down these parts for 19 yrs, should consider myself as a northerner still, as was born in Lancs, then raised in runcorn, probably kick bucket in wilts lol

and of course, a sadistic liking for taking relative novices on the Giant round trip

  Last weekend a caving friend suggested to fellow caver that he take me down Giant's and another 'ole, name of which I forget.  Have I been stitched up?  Fortunately, I have time to ponder this generous offer 'cos I'll be away for the Christmas hols.  Mind you, it looks like I may be going down a gold or copper mine.... :doubt:

The Giants Round Trip is a Derbyshire classic with a bit of everything. There's a 5m pitch, plenty of sideways shuffling (the Crabwalk) and a crawl in water (the giant's windpipe). It's a very steady trip in the big scheme of things and I'm sure you'll love it! For many people in Derbyshire it's their first 'proper' caving trip.
