Windrush - An Underground Cotswold Stone Quarry

Windrush is an extensive stone mine located just outside Burford on the A40 in West Oxfordshire. It is an extensive system.

Members of Gloucester Speleological Society opened up the entrances, surveyed and fully documented this system. This is now being published in A4 with ~180-200 colour pages.

Cost is likely to between £15 to £20, TBC.

Access is no problem. The entrances are locked as part of landowner agreement but we can sort out keys. Just PM me when you fancy a trip.

I would very much be intrested in a guided tour if at all possible also have some info on other possible local sites but want to speak to somebody local to the area or a member of the Gloucestershire speleo
