To go back to your original posting Francis - I probably have every Fish era Marillion album but I never really got on with the band much after that.  Until I heard the recent Marbles album.  First three listenings left me cold but then bit by bit it grew on me and now it's become a favourite.  Very complex, musically - there's a lot to it; much better than the other stuff with Steve Hoggarth.

Somewhere I have a VHS Video with that classic (Fish era) concert they did on the Old Grey Whistle Test TV programme, if ever you want to borrow it?

I like the Marbles album too ( esp tracks 4,5,12 & 13 ), but I also like many of the other albums with SH. Thanks a lot for the offer, would be very nice but as I live in Norway then the logistics might be a bit complicated?

You know you're getting old (or are completely out of touch, or both) when you find you have never heard of ANY of the music that Gus has listed. Fortunately for me, I have heard of Iron Maiden. None of the rest though. :-[

(I think he's making it up, to sound cool.)

Certainly not.  Ask my missus - she'd love them to be fictitious!

Just as well he included Iron Maiden otherwise I would not have know which name was the band and which was the title of the album!

The band is actually called "A Matter of Life and Death". Iron Maiden was, I think, their second Album and from where the band "Iron Maiden" took their name.  :-\ :-\
