In case it's not obvious, the first half is an anagram,  the second half is an approximate description. And remember, the folks in Mendip don't necessarily spell things how you would expect. ..

Wot. No guesses? Tine for a further clue perhaps then..... its in Northern Caves,  but not in The Dales.
