The government is saying exercise is good for you.  Good that they are proposing more minority subjects such as campanology.  Apparantly it's a pub sign... Nice!

Marina Hyde sticks the knife in further - sadly no pics, but she can easily evoke them with prose like this:

"Rashford scoring a stunning 87th minute winner against Paris Saint-Germain last week then coming straight off the pitch to tweet about child poverty feels like a Tory anxiety dream, the sort of psychiatric hazing exercise you have to pass before you get to green-light a bent property deal or shag a troubled 18-year-old researcher."

I've tried to explain cricket to Americans but they're amazed it takes days and days and still no result.

Possibly explains why with the dark nights coming so many cars on the road only have half of their lights working.

Presumably the front half - they forget that Daytime Running Lights are front only!

Possibly also because years ago all you had to do was replace the bulb from the back of the lamp which was usually pretty easily accessible, now you either have to have a couple of extra joints in your forearms and preferably eyeballs at the end of your fingers or you need to dismantle the whole front end of the car which is held together with intricate plastic clips, no two of which undo in quite the same way......

A friend of mine has a Range Rover, which probably says a lot to start, but anyway, he recons you have to remove a front wheel to change a bulb.

Skoda you just spring a metal clip with a screwdriver, but still should be left to a technician according to the manual.

It says he's a very sensible chap, like myself!

It is pretty common for bulb changes to be a complete nightmare these days. You need to have 3 wrists and the forearm of a child to do a Golf.
