The Black Sheep Diggers have recently reopened Howgill pot entrance to New Goyden pot, Nidderdale. Alex Ritchie and Ralf Guscott dug through the final blockage to make a through trip on 17/03/2016. It has three squeezes one very tight. Please note at present the Black Sheep Diggers have laid a water hose through the pot for digging in a tube going off South Aven. An interesting passage heading under the river bed on the surface above with signs of lead mining activity.
