Forum update and change to HTTPS
« on: September 04, 2017, 04:29:20 pm »
I've just updated the SMF application to version 2.0.14 which adds some new security features. We've also moved to serving the site using using https://ukcaving.com so communication between your browser and our server is now encrypted by default.

You should see the padlock icon in your browser to indicate the new secure version. The only time you won't see this is if there is something on the page loading over an 'insecure' connection. This will likely be an embedded image in a post from a 3rd party service.

A scan from Qualys shows that you are getting an A grade for your configuration -- good job! :)

If you are interested in taking it further, check out the Mozilla Observatory result.
