Kyrgyzstan 2018

two teams with members I know well went last year and were not overly inspired regarding the karst potential I gather. Best to speak to Pete Talling and Imogen Furlong (aka MoMo). the Wessex and CPC also held a joint exped there last year, not sure who was on it.

From what I have heard, cave potential is next to nil and they were sent to areas that had already been visited. Go climbing instead, was the overriding message.

I had similar feedback from Nearlywhite too.

However, the expedition leader in Kyrgyzstan has admitted that the area they went to last year wasn't the best for cave development and they have identified a number of other areas which are more promising, which they intend to go to this year.

Is this the area identified by John? I could certainly be persuaded if John can come too, if you want a couple more, for a few weeks of hiking caving.
