Baselayers

I use cycling baselayers like below as they are cut lower at the back, this means when in a crouched prussicking position they don't ride up.

They  are also wicking and synthetic so they don't absorb water as much.

I still have my beast undershirt thing from when I started caving 10 years ago and the zip still works, unlike my under-suit who's zip broke within 3 months after buying the bloody thing. I really wish they were still in business they made quality stuff.
 
I have Decathlon synthetic boxers (generally in luminous yellow) :P

(but seriously, cotton is the enemy even in pant/boxer form)

I usually wear a AV Powerstretch undersuit (Powerstretch is the world's greatest fabric), and then a Powerstretch sexy black dress (https://starlessriver.com/shop/buffs_hats_and_warm_extras/meander_powerstretch_singlet1) and that normally does it for me...
 
I bought a fleece onesie from Lomo. it is meant for waring under a diving dry suit and it is very warm. it has stirrups on the feet and also doesn't seem to retain too much water when it gets wet. Highly recommend!

wow, that's cheap!  good spot.
 
I also bought a fleece undersuit from Lomo. Definately cheap. I've not used it as it seems a bit on the thick side (too warm) and it appears to be tailored for a 5'8" Walrus rather than a 5'8" Racing Snake.
 
To trump everyone else on cheapness I use British army issue thermals long sleeve t shirts.
or to give it it's proper title "Vest. Thermal. Light. Underwear. Olive." Make sure you get current issue as there actually quite technical.

Fluffy on the inside, reasonably wicking and only costs a ?5 in most army surpluses. I wear two if its a bit nippy.

I wear a furry from Amazon it was ?12.

For t-shirts, I wear the aldi workwear thermals because it's ?1.99 for a t-shirt.

They used to be more-or-less the only option for decent thermals, but I abandoned them when they fell way behind their competitors in the 1980s. I don't know what they are like now.

I still have some Damart - and still use it for soaking up water inside a certain leaky drysuit I occasionally use!
