Has anyone been into this area recently as it is reported very unstable around mud pot and also possibly blocked.

I originally thought you meant mud hall, but I googled it and found another bit of the system I haven't yet ventured into. I hope someone can answer your question as it's now on my 'to do' list.

I haven't been there since mid-August, so I can't confirm or deny the report, but it seems unlikely that the main route through Stream Chamber has been affected. It's all very stable, albeit muddy.

It is possible that the descent through the boulders into Mud Pot itself has collapsed. I haven't been in there for 40 years, and my memory of the place is a little dim.
