The DM is a useful counterpoint to the likes of the BBC and pseudo-intellectual Guardian.

Chris.

It's also a useful counterpoint to factual reporting....

If you want real serious reporting, what's the matter with the Daily Sport?

An excellent periodical. They even had the decency to state the nipple count on the front page, and had a topless weather girl called Warm Front Wendy. Phoarrr.

They say if you give an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, they would eventually write the complete works of Shakespeare.

For now though, they've only managed The Daily Mail.

Tell you what you don't see so often in the Mail these days are the rather creepy articles headed 'So and So (former child actress/celeb daughter) "All Grown Up"' upon said person reaching 18. I think Saville's put the frighteners on that particular favourite headline. Mind that didn't stop them doing a rather lurid article on Paris Jackson a few days back.

Didn't they do that about Charlotte Church? And wasn't it when she turned sixteen, not eighteen?

I have been searching, without success, my copy of Mandela's autobiography for a comment he made along exactly those lines. However, this isn't about understanding where they come from, it's about providing indirect contributions to an organisation about which we know an awful lot without having to continue to inflict more of the same on our sensibilities.

I think the Internet has soundly disproved that theory!

On a point of clarification I would be interested to know what folk mean by 'lies', 'hate' and 'bile?'. Can we have some examples of what the DM are publishing?

Ralph Miliband - the man who hated Britain. I consider that story in particular to be a particularly hateful crock of shitty lies. I sure other people have examples.

Blimey ! Do cave photographers actually get paid for their work ? Only when its mis represented perhaps as Amy well knows. That excellent photo of Dan Yr Ogof labeled as The Frozen Deep. The latter discovered by Dr Peter Glanvill. No I wont post a link to that wretched web site.

I'd be interested to know that too. Not because I'd ever sell them anything mind. A friend of mine had a message about using the content of one of his you tube videos, before he'd even had the chance to respond they'd cut three of his videos together and used them on their website. After he responded asking them to credit them to his real name, they did, but when asked about making a charity donation for use of the videos they didn't make any contribution. No surprise there.

The offending article is here
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2435751/Red-Eds-pledge-bring-socialism-homage-Marxist-father-Ralph-Miliband-says-GEOFFREY-LEVY.html

Despite the ott title, the content is pretty standard stuff regarding the doings of this rich Marxist. There are no lies other than in the title. It's Ralph Milipede's hypocrisy that gets up my nose. His dislike of the Establishment is a bit -er- rich since he was one of them himself.

Anyway to get back on track, I've taken a look at the DM photos and will do so again if they publish in the future.

;) ;) Brilliant!

I am, and I am not ashamed at all. Nor hypocritical!!

Chris.

i'm not wholly certain it is something to be proud of. Here is one woman's story of how the Daily Mail tells lies about the people it comes across.

You need to read my earlier posts. More people visiting the Mail website means they get more money from advertisers. This money subsidises their unpleasant paper. I don't want to indirectly give them money.

I have seen some of Josh's pictures on Facebook. They were good. I don't need to visit the Mail website to see caving pictures.
