Oh crap, that means I should have posted a picture! As my last one was a bit too niche, here's a much easier one from a visit last Friday. Photo credit to CJ.

Oh well, this probably wont last long...
Bonus points for the mineral type, but if you know that you will know the location!

GRRRR attachments failed security! Tried all allowed formats and forum wont have it!
Suggestions?

Hahah, I'm already ready with my guess! Could you do an ASCII 'interpretation' of it? :)

 ;D
A round blob of bright apple green crystal in the wall of a chamber, about the size of... an apple!
Come to think of it that sounds better than the picture looks!

Museum grade specimen of the same mineral, culled from the web
The photo I cant load is this stuff in the wall, chipped and hammered about but the colour is consistent...
That is the best clue I can give!

I'm assuming the green stuff is pyromorphite?

Yes, it's pyromorphite. A lead phosphate, but although very distinctive lead wasn't the reason for the mine...

I was sure that patch of pyromorphite would be better known... Do you want another pic from the same place to help?

I have two sites in mind, but that could conceivably be anywhere between Castleton and Wirksworth, so a bit narrower would be good. But I'm going for a walk now anyway, so no rush :)

This is the chamber where the mineral outcrop is situated - if it works!
Sorry about the quality, I was using a cheap digital compact camera, but it gives you an idea...
One person has their lamp set to max, to eat some lunch and fry anyones eyeballs that they talk too. Guess they would stuck with just a backup to dimly light the way :D
