3D printing

I was looking at the Star Carr relics at MAA in Cambridge when I noted that the University of York had organised the 3D printing of a range of large objects, including a deer's skull headdress.  I have an interest in 3D printing of large objects see https://tinyurl.com/claonaitebear and wondered if any caver from the north had contact with the group at York Uni who did this work?  I know it is a remote chance but if you don't ask...

I don't know or have contact with them as they're in a different department (and building!) but I know Prof. Nicky Milner 3d scanned and printed some of the Star Carr stuff - the medical school used white light 3d scanning and scanning electron microscopy. I don't know how they printed the large stuff - we get little stuff printed in the workshops all the time but I guess for big museum pieces it might have been farmed out.
