I can believe it.  I knew a guy who fed his cat some LSD (which was highly irresponsible I might add).  It acted normal for an hour or so then went berserk, ripped his stair carpet to shreds, attacked the stereo and destroyed the LP that was playing on it, then wandered around drunkenly with eyes the size of saucers for the rest of the day.  I think it was the same bloke who trapped a spider under a glass, blew dope smoke into it, then found it highly amusing when the spider reeled round in circles and fell off the table.
