    Top trips in Ireland?

Hi Everyone, Please can you advise me? Despite many decades of caving in the mainland UK my knowledge of Irish caves is quite limited. I'm writing a caving section for a book on outdoor activities. I'm going to list a few caves around the UK regions in three categories - good for beginners...

Trying to contact SWCC re OFD

Over the last month I've sent 4 emails to SWCC to arrange a midweek OFD access for our caving club but have had no reply. Our proposed date is now just over a week away so it's getting a bit tight. Please can somebody advise me of how to proceed? Thanks.

    The new BCA newsletter

Clearly a great deal of time, effort and money has been put into the production of the new BCA newsletter.  I'd like to say well done, what a fine publication, good work everybody. I'd like to but I can't.  What I'm actually thinking is what a total waste of time and resources.  I've seen plenty...

    caveclimb.com - new opening arrangements

Please be aware that we no longer have fixed opening hours on Saturdays.  All shop opening is now by arrangement but we hope this will allow more flexibility to suit our customers.  For example, we know that many of you are caving on Saturdays and it would suit you better to come early evening...

Dent de Crolles - the P40, then and now...

The following article was written for a Wessex Cave Club publication.  I have posted it here in the hope that some of you may find it interesting and informative. The P40 ? Then and Now? Rachel and I were very pleased to be able to join the Wessex trip to the Chartreuse this year.  I had not...

Solo - award winning film from 1997

Now that YouTube has extended the length of films that can be uploaded, I am very pleased to be able to put Solo into the public domain. Solo is a film that will resonate with most cavers, but especially those who actively seek the unexplored. http://youtu.be/woJ6GMw58ig

BCA resources directed towards 'commercial caving' (spin off from CNCC thread)

Taken from the current CNCC thread: The point I'm making is that the BCA appears to spend a disproportionate amount of its time and resources promoting the interests of the commercial sector rather than that of ordinary cavers.  Examples, please.... On Mendip dozens of uneccessary bolts...
