    Medical Insurance France

We are off to the Berger this year. It has been suggested by several people the FFS ( Federation Francise de Speleologie) Insurance would be good cheap alternative to Snowcard/Dogtag/BCA medical cover that includes repatriation. The FFS insurance could be obtained ether direct from FFS or by...

BCA Expedition Insurance, How's it working?

We have a club trip to the PSM later this year. Obviously we are mandating all attendees have suitable insurance cover. The organisers have at least two friends who have had to claim using Snowcard for rescue expenses and repatriation after incidents in Europe. The service has always been...

    Bosigran Count House. Climbing Hut

This one for the climbers among us.  I'm toying with cycling from Lands end to my house, spending as little money as possible. Not as a challenge, I just don't like spending money. I'm sure I can spend the second night at South Dartmoor Bunkhouse in Buckfastleigh. Can I spend the first at...

    Nova 3 Plastic Lens Cover

Bit of a long shot. Anyone know where I can get a new(ish) plastic lens for my Nova 3. Alternately any suggestions for polishing the many scratches out of my lens. I use this light for digging so being able to see well is not essential, or sometimes even desirable. But on balance I would like...

    Nova 3 battery box.

My Nova 3 is falling apart at the socket, like they do. I am thinking of replacing socket with a different type but could do with a couple of the battery boxs that you can get for the Nova that take Duracell Batteries. This is to allow for my inevitable cock ups. Anyone have a spare box...

Wanted: Ten Year Old Over suit.

That's to fit a ten year old rather than the age of the oversuit. Worth checking here before I visit Sparrowland to see what they have.

Trip Report - Compton Martin Renovation Evening - 7th Feb 2008

Trip report, a bit late. 7th Feb. Known had double booked himself. He decided that an evening with root at ComptonMartinOchreMine was better than being with me and LesW at CuckooCleeves Cave. When it came to the time to go caving, me and LesW decided that we missed known so much we should go...

Goatchurch, or lets not go to Swildons. Me Les and known. Surprise 1. Met as WCC where Lesw announced he would rather spend an evening doing risk assessments and stuff than spend the time caving with us. Surprise 2. We are going to Goatchurch as known has a cold and Les has no oversuit...
