15 hours, that's quite a trip!

No, there will have been lots of others, for various reasons (unless you mean doing it four times?!?).

Back in "the olden days" trips to lower Giants from Oxlow and back were relatively common, as that was the only way in (like you say). I imagine many will have been through and back in the 5 years before your trip.

More recent trips include this giants-oxlow-giants trip: http://ukcaving.com/board/index.php?topic=80.msg3653#msg3653

Or an even more recent resurvey trip from Giants: http://www.eldonpotholeclub.org.uk/index.php/homepage/current-uk-projects/crusader/238-the-chamber-of-horrors (we returned the next week to successfully survey through and beyond)

You're definitely not the only one to have done the connection twice in one day.

When I was in my 20's I did Giants to the bottom of Maskhill and back out, Oxlow to the bottom of Giants and back out and Maskhill to the bottom of Giants and back out.

I've never actually done a through trip though and doubt I ever will now. I don't like squeezing on my back with limited airspace anymore.

I did a maskhill-east canal-mask hill last year on my todd.

Don't fancy doing it again.

For younger readers "Chamber of Horrors" was a 1966 "horror" film popular at the time (say no more). It was so bad it won a "Rotten Tomato" award.

To aid with organisation and chance of a shout out from people hoping to attend, either underground or at the lectures.

I'm hoping to get over late morning and do the through trip, but I doubt I'll be able to stay for the talks.

I should be there for the talks.
Looking forward to hearing details about the first attempted trip through the connection with a selfie stick!

A group from YUCPC planning to make use of the ropes on Sunday for a 2-way Oxlow - Maskill exchange.  :)

I'm sad to be missing the talks on Saturday due to work.  :(

But you'll be battling the Invaders of the Ribble valley to the tune of the lost world (Jurrasic park), so it's not all bad.

Not sure I'll get there in time for caving, but I'm intending to be there for the talks on Saturday.

I've got a few from Dudley in Giants on Sunday, can anyone tell me what rigging is going in, Ladder or line & is it being stripped out Sunday afternoon?
