The archway into Henry Young - John Clark Passage (boys aged 9 and 7 respectively when visiting with their fathers who mined Grebe Swallet; their visit was on Thursday 20th November 1755 just 20 days after the Great Lisbon Earthquake so their visit was probably a post-seismic recce to ascertain damage to the workings). The passage is named after the boys because they broke off stalactite(s) to inscribe their names in clay banks, still extant now, some 270 years later.

The trip came about from a response from the good Cap'n here on the forum welcoming me along for another trip after a ten year gap. He has achieved a lot in the last ten years and it was a pleasure to see Willie Stanton's ethics being continued. Grebe is a remarkable place linking mine history and cave development . So thanks again to the Cap'n and his first mate Nick T. Also to Mike Wise who contnues to blossom as my protege. Oh and thanks for the cakes as well.

A couple of things with the TG6. Above when an in motion shot is needed . Video the piece then use VLC or a similiar editor to sort the frame you want then copy as a jpeg.

Macro. I dont tend to use the macro setting much. Shoot normally then save as high res. Crop down to the size you want. Always look for a black background. TG6. I Auto. LED torch side light.
