Needed a day off caving so was out running today; found this tiny engraved stone very near the top of Whernside, carefully laid in the grass just off the path. It looks like it commemorates a little girl who may have passed away 18 months ago.

If anyone happens to know the Mortons, please tell them it's still there - and that it made a complete stranger thoughtful of her.
