Anyone know how the application got on?

It seems some "Pikeys" have jumped the gun already - a recent trip found a load of rubbish dumped near the cave, including a car seat. Our c.100m of haul ropes had been nicked (2nd time this has happenned, despite us stashing them well into the dig and them being caked in mud) and the railway obviously used to give rides on (we have taken the train away now). Bloody frustrating.

It's not yet been determined, I'd expect to see it on the agenda of the  planning committee meeting in the near future.

Not to mention a shedload of lead-mining heritage and rare workings, above and below ground, spanning many centuries, from medieval onwards. And a direct open water route (Pindale Sough) to the river Derwent.
